The American star chose the Parisian jewelry house for her appearance at the annual Big Game. Hand-in-hand with Valérie Messika, the two ladies imagined a choker necklace entirely bejeweled with baguette-cut diamonds, on a par with the star’s (im)moderation.

Although Beyoncé and Messika have shared a special relationship for several years, the House had never created bespoke pieces for Queen B before. Now, it’s done with the Diamond Equalizer high jewelry set which Valérie Messika imagined specially for her. And, while on the subject, the creator confides: “I longed to design a piece of jewelry for Beyoncé which would embody her style yet continue to reflect our DNA. Queen B is like royalty for sure and the idea was to dream up anarchic finery embracing all these barrettes which intertwine with a sequence of baguette- and round-cut diamonds to create rhythm. But this chaos eventually ends up striking some order and center stages the pear-shaped diamonds.”
On Sunday evening, Queen B flaunted a sumptuous baguette-cut diamond choker necklace with a 17-carat pear-shaped diamond reigning supreme in the center. Beyoncé, forever a queen of style, decided to turn over the center stone to highlight her rock attitude.
The choker’s design, intended as a nod to the vibrations of equalizers bouncing up and down on recording studio monitors, also inspired a pair of asymmetrical earrings to complement the jewelry set. Firstly, a XXL ear-cuff adorned with a pear-shaped diamond and, secondly, a shorter version gifting the earrings with powerful momentum. An ultra-graphical piece which Beyoncé flaunted the day before at the Pre-Grammy Gala.
