Of course! There’s no hard-and-fast rule when it comes to mixing metals (or not), and in fact, it’s been trendy for a few seasons now. However, there are things to consider. “Mixing metal colors is great for those people who love to change it up and are looking for something a bit more fashion forward,” says A.J. Tosyali, president of Benchmark. “Just keep in mind that different metals have different characteristics, for instance softer metals could show wear and tear quicker if they’re constantly rubbing against harder metals.” The easy way around that? “Consider combining the two metals into one piece instead of two separate ones,” says Tosyali.
