Feature: Pandora Bracelet Sizing | CHURINGA JEWELRY

Getting your bracelet size right is obviously pretty crucial; it might feel fine to you without charms, but get too tight when you attempt to fill it up; or it might hang too far from your wrist and get in your way all the time. Not to worry: this post will give you a comprehensive overview of how to choose the right size Pandora bracelet for you.

The traditional Pandora bracelet comes in the following sizes:

16 cm / 6.3 inches

17 cm / 6.7 inches

18 cm / 7.1 inches

19 cm / 7.5 inches

20 cm / 7.9 inches

21 cm / 8.3 inches

23 cm / 9.1 inches

The most popular bracelet sizes are the 18cm/7.1″ and 19cm/7.5″ variations – I wear a 19cm Pandora bracelet myself.

There are several methods of finding out the right Pandora bracelet size for you.

Method One: String and a ruler

Many online stores suggest this method, as do Pandora themselves. Measure your wrist with a piece of string, and then measure that string against a ruler. Then, add either 1 inch or 2-3 centimetres to your wrist measurement. This is your bracelet size. i.e. if your wrist measures 16cm, you should be looking at either the 18cm or 19cm Pandora bracelet.

Method Two: Fingers

The most basic way of testing whether your bracelet fits you properly is the finger test. You should be able to get roughly two fingers between the bracelet chain and your wrist.

Method Three: In Store

If you don’t trust yourself to get it right, you can always go in store and get an assistant to size it for you! Simple.

However, there are still a number of things to remember in terms of Pandora bracelet sizing:

  • As you fill your bracelet up with more charms, they will make the fit tighter against your wrist. This is especially true of the murano glass charms, which are bigger than the regular silver charms. If you are planning on having many glass charms (say, four or more) on your bracelet, you may want to consider going up a size.
  • This is not true for everyone, but Pandora advise that, over time, your bracelet may expand up to 1cm in length, as the links of the bracelet chain relax. I have not personally had this happen to me (and I own four snake chain bracelets), but have heard of it happening to others – it’s not a given that it will stretch, but it could well happen. Putting clips on your bracelet and distributing your charms evenly should help prevent this happen.
  • Personal preference – you might prefer a looser or a tighter fitting bracelet. As a rule, you should add a minimum of 2cm to your wrist size, but you could always increase this, depending on how much you want your bracelet to hang.

That concludes our bracelet sizing 101!  Have fun buying your new Pandora bracelets 😉
