Royalty Reigns in Crown Rings| CHURINGA JEWELRY GUIDE

By Beth Bernstein, INSTORE Guest Editor

Influences from period dramas on Netflix, Hulu, HBO Max and Prime, the ever growing allure (and purchase) of antique jewelry, famous royal jewels going up at auction and the renewed interest in hair ornaments on the red carpet and at weddings in recent years (with the exception of 2020) have combined to create new interest in tiaras and diadems. Downton Abbey might have started the trend on television but The Crown kept it going — most appropriately throughout the series. Tiaras also appeared in Bridgerton, one of our other guilty viewing pleasures. Personally, I remember wearing glittery rhinestone tiaras when I was very young. Mine is not a new story — almost every girl wants to be a princess at some point in her life. But in our everyday world, for career women like myself, it’s just not possible to don a tiara to a corporate meeting or even an event. For the regal fantasies in all of us, Gabriel has created the ultimate alternative — the crown ring, beautifully available in a variety of shapes and motifs. We don’t even have to look in a mirror to see these aristocratic and ornamental jewels — we just need to look down at our hands to get that magical feeling.

There are also a variety of ways in which to wear crown rings:

  • You can wear a wider one on its own.
  • You can top off a few eternity bands in different styles with a thinner crown ring on top.
  • You can wear two of the same style together, with one facing up and one facing down.
  • You can wear two of the same styles facing in different ways with a thin eternity band in the center.
  • Or, you can add two different style eternity bands with a crown ring in between for a more eclectic mix.
Styles: AN12081, ER14770, WB14770, LR51541

You can also combine two different crown rings together — one on top and one on bottom and add an eternity band or two in between. And don’t be afraid to mix metal color if you decide to create a stack.

As you can see, there are numerous possibilities with these gracefully designed rings, with intricated detailing evoking true tiara and diadem styles. The beauty of wearing these is in the mix and match as well as the add-on quality of them, so you don’t have to purchase them all at once — instead you can keep adding to your collection. And if you are still hankering for one for your head, go to your nearest costume jewelry store which carries the rhinestone styles or party stores which carry the sequin or sparkly cardboard styles and wear one around the house while doing choirs, binge watching period series or one of the two famous Audrey Hepburn movies — because no one looked better eating a croissant on Fifth Avenue or transforming from a cockney flower girl into a princess then Audrey in her roles in Breakfast At Tiffany’s or My Fair Lady.
