Theystop the heel areas from forming bulges or wrinkles as you wear the shoesday in and day out. Moreover, they preserve the seams and protect sensitive materials (especially leather) from scratches.

- Shoe trees: These are the supportive inserts for your shoes whenever they’re not in use. They allow the shoes to retain their original shape, and make sure no distinct lines or wrinkles start settling into the leather. Look for cedar ones: they also help eliminate odor.
- Extra shoelaces (some guys choose a bright color to change up the style slightly)
- Shoe conditioner/polish/cream (some guys buy multiple colors)
- Saddle soap
Strange Item #7 – Brushes (All Kinds)
Chances are, you don’t think it’s strange to own a comb or hairbrush. Those are pretty normal to have if you’ve got a head full of hair to groom every morning.

If someone had shown me these strange items when I was still a teenager, I wouldn’t have recognized most of them. I certainly wouldn’t have bothered using them. Thankfully, I grew to understand their value as I transitioned from boyhood to manhood. It fell right in line with upgrading my wardrobe and developing my own personal style.
