Beautiful Aquamarine

March’s birthstone, the aquamarine, dates back to the second century BC and to the writings of Damigeron. The ancients believed the stone had medicinal, psychological and other positive effects upon the wearer such as granting foresight, courage, happiness, increased intelligence and youthfulness.

The stone is a member of the beryl family and its color ranges from a pale blue to blue-green or teal. Once revered as an “all purpose” healing stone, it is also associated with occult divination as the aquamarine is depicted with the Hanged Man of the Tarot, conveying the meaning of stopping activities to contemplate the true meaning of life.

Show off your March birthstone with beautiful gemstone belly rings, aquamarine-studded cartilage earrings, and labrets!
