What is a Pendant?

A pendant is a decorative piece of jewelry that hangs freely that can be worn on a chain, necklace, bracelet, ribbon, earring, and even a brooch. A pendant is not infused with magic or blessed and is not typically worn for protection or luck. Pendants are quite often made so they are able to detach and worn differently.

There are many forms that pendants can take, such as pearls, large gemstones, lockets, crosses, cameos, and watches. Early signs of identification, authority, seals, and ranks were used by wearing pendants.

What is the Difference Between an Amulet and a Pendant?
