I wanted to make the whole process a little simpler for you and your partner, so I have compiled a series of five blog posts detailing the process.

Today, getting married isn’t just about showing the world your commitment to each other; it’s also about showing the world who you are as individuals and as a couple. Because of this, couples tying the knot today are looking for unique ways to show their wedding guests who they are. One way you can do this is by choosing to have custom wedding rings. So, forget the typical trip to the local high street jeweller and opt for a personalised service where your every need, and your tastes, can be catered for in all sorts of ways.
I craft a wide variety of beautiful wedding rings out of a vast range of precious metals, meaning that you can tell your story and celebrate in style precisely the way you’ve always wanted to. What’s more, as my rings are handcrafted, you aren’t just buying a piece of jewellery – you’re buying a uniquely exquisite, high-quality item that you’ll want to keep forever as a much-loved legacy of your marriage.
If this resonates with you, then you might be wondering how long it takes to have a custom wedding ring (or two!) made.
The process starts with a face-to-face meeting (although this is not essential). If you live in and around London, then we can have an in-person meeting to view and try on rings. If you have kids, then we could meet on a Saturday at Shoreditch House, where there is a fantastic kids’ club. You’ll be able to entertain your kids while choosing or designing your bespoke ring.
A face-to-face meeting is the best option, so that I can accurately size your ring and so that you can look at some sample rings to get an idea of thickness and depth. However, if you don’t live locally to London, and can’t make it to the capital for a weekend or day trip, then I can send a ring sizer to you in the post or you can download my ring sizer here. I will also direct you to my website, where you will be able to look at the different ring options. If we’re not able to meet, then you will also need to know the thickness and depth of the wedding ring you would like.
Next, I will send over some prices, so that you can see the options available in more detail, enabling you to make an informed decision.
Once you’ve selected a ring, I then hand-make it for you in the metal you love, which takes three weeks. If you live in or around London, you can try it on again before hallmarking. Hallmarking is the final step in crafting your custom wedding ring and takes a week.
After that, your ring is ready for you! The whole process from our meeting on day one takes four to six weeks. However, if you’re a little pressed for time, then a faster turnaround is possible, so it’s always worth enquiring to check my availability.
