Jewelry Definition – Knuckle-to-Finger Differential

The difference in size between the knuckle and the part of the finger where your ring rests is what I call the knuckle-to-finger differential.

Persons with large differentials are good candidates for rings that hinge open on the bottom so they can be slipped more easily over the knuckle.
