CRUSH: The Snake ring from the House Ole Lynggaard

A true totem animal, the snake inspired one of the Danish jewellery house’s flagship pieces, the Snake ring. An icon that she is reinterpreting this season with ornamental stones of bewitching beauty.

The origin of the Snake collection dates back to the 1960s, when Ole Lynggaard, the founder of the eponymous jewellery house, fell in love with Egypt. During a visit to the Cairo museum, the designer discovered a collection of ornamental pieces entirely dedicated to the snake. Ole Lynggaard is hypnotized by the beauty and sensuality of these pieces.

While this journey marked his creative spirit, it wasn’t until the brand’s 50th anniversary in 2013 that the founder unveiled his interpretation of the snake. Like a talisman, the animal lends its undulating curves to a series of jewels, rings and earrings, which curl up against the skin.

In just a few years, the Snake ring has become one of the House’s best-sellers, revealing a new facet of its power of seduction by adding the services of precious stones in vibrant tones.

Quartz, malachite, topaz or lapis lazuli, the jeweller has selected 6 stones of bewitching beauty to adorn his sculptural rings where the lines of the snake appear finer than ever. A strong piece that fits every woman’s style, and works equally well with a chic or casual wardrobe. The secret of pieces that last.
