Marie-Hélène de Taillac celebrates pearls for TASAKI in a glamorous way!

Since 2011, Marie-Hélène de Taillac has been creating exquisite jewelry collections for the Japanese brand TASAKI. In that way, she is able to merge her passion for sparkling stones to theirs with exceptional pearls. The new collaborative collection was just unveiled in Paris during the latest fashion week.

For this collection, French designer Marie-Helene de Taillac has been influenced on one side by Antique artworks that depict priests wearing rings with large precious stones and on the other, she was inspired by the Aristocracy who liked to adorn their jewelry with pearls and diamonds. Entitled « Flamboyant Pearls », the new Tasaki by MHT collection is inspired by the Renaissance and the magnificent jewelry seen in European royal courts. A time where jewelry was used as a symbol of power more than just an accessory in which each creation was more sumptuous than the last.

“Flamboyant Pearls” is a collection that can be characterized by the use of vivid colored stones set on brushed yellow gold enhancing the purity of the white pearls. As a perfect example, the Royal necklace features one line of pearls set in a way that there seems to be two. As a matter of fact, Marie-Helène de Taillac has created a range of cushion-shaped gem clasps easy to fix that bring a colorful twist and style to simple pearl necklace. The clasp becomes the central stone of the necklace set on brushed yellow gold sending the golden star at the back of your neck. Each clasp is available with a rose quartz, green quartz or blue topaz. The Royal necklace becomes versatile in the sense that it can actually be worn in different ways.

Using the MHT signature of brushed yellow gold, the “dancing pearls” chandelier earrings illustrate a modern bejewelled construction with 22 Akoya pearls that gently move in an elegant way. The Ayoka pearls contrast with the Antique-like finish yellow gold structure in a contrastful piece. Who could resist to the subtle sway of small-grained Akoya pearls that are echoing the sound of the costumes of the ladies who used to gracefully dance during the Royal balls ?.

This limited edition will be available starting in May in all TASAKI stores.
